Lisa Pearcy - Founder & CEO of 15 lightyears

Lisa Pearcy is the founder and CEO of 15 lightyears, an Orlando based solar installation and energy testing company.  Since 2012, she along with her team has been designing and installing solar for businesses and residential homes throughout the state of Florida. Notable clients include NASA, Universal Orlando, City of Winter Park, City of Altamonte Springs and City of Orlando.  has been recognized by the Orlando Business Journal’s Fast 50 and Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000. With growing success, Lisa was able to pursue her passion of giving back to the community and won the United States Green Building Coalition Leadership Volunteer of the Year award. Soon after, she began the 15 Lightyears Foundation, a non-profit designed to teach the community about clean energy and sustainable practices. The foundation is also a way Lisa helps employ foster children who are aging out of the system.  Yoga and regular meditation are an important and necessary part of her life.  Lisa, her husband Ben and two boys enjoy the outdoors with canoe trips, beach getaways, or getting lost in the woods with their Bernese Mountain Dog, Sammy.

 What has been your most rewarding experience so far?

Lisa:  Without a doubt becoming a mother.

What show are you hooked on right now?

Lisa:  The Queens Gambit

What is your all time favorite book?

Lisa:  Of all time?  Between ‘Great Expectations’ and ‘The 4 Agreements’.

Guilty Pleasure?

Lisa:  Popcorn Twizzlers and a cheesy Rom Com.

What are you hoping to see over the next 10 years regarding the climate?

Lisa:   The climate is reacting to human behaviors, so I am hoping to see a major shift in our actions to give the climate a fighting chance.

What has been the biggest honor you have received?

Lisa:  The largest honor I have received is the LEEDership Volunteer of the Year Award. I have had other, more recognizable honors but this one meant the most.  It was for my work with schools and there is no greater honor than helping the next generation play a part in their own futures.
